About Annie
A quiet corner of comfort, calm, and classic storytelling.
Hi, I'm Annie, and I started The Quiet Corner Bedtime Stories because I have always believed in the magic of storytelling: the way a beautifully written tale can slow the world down, bring comfort, and create a moment of peace at the end of a long day.
Sharing these classic stories has become one of my greatest joys. Knowing that a gentle reading might help you unwind, relax, or drift off to sleep fills me with warmth and purpose.
Here in The Quiet Corner, I read stories I have treasured for years, from L. M. Montgomery and Louisa May Alcott to Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, Tilly Aston, and many more. Each episode is created with soft narration, thoughtful pacing, and a deep love of timeless classic literature.
Thank you for being here, and sweet dreams.
A peaceful place that inspires the calm and cosy spirit of the podcast.
From time to time, Annie's husband Amon joins for special readings. He has a particular love for Sherlock Holmes and enjoys bringing Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's worlds to life.
Together, and sometimes solo, the goal is always the same: to offer a quiet corner of comfort, calm, and classic storytelling.
Artwork
Family-made cover art gives the podcast its own voice.
The podcast logo, along with much of the episode cover art, was designed by Rose Bernie, a qualified graphic designer and Annie's daughter. Rose also creates custom artwork and takes commissions.
Some episode cover art is also created by KimarZuru, Annie's son, whose illustrations bring a unique and imaginative touch to the podcast. He also takes commissions and can be contacted through his website.
